The exhibition will pay special attention to the work of Brian Miller, Cumbernauld’s town artist from 1962, and the public art which he created, much of which has now disappeared. Exploring Cumbernauld Cumbernauld resident Jean O’Reilly will also be running free guided social history walks, which will leave from Cumbernauld Community Enterprise Centre throughout the day. Over the weekend of the 24 - 25 September, the flats above Cumbernauld shopping centre will also be open to the public for the first time in decades, giving visitors a rare glimpse at the housing intended for Cumbernauld's elite.
