Cadet Jack BURGH- SMEATON lived at Coull, Auchterarder. He enlisted 30th November 1914 in the 27th battalion of the Winnipeg Infantry. Served France From October 1915. Recommended on the field for Commission at the Battle of St. Eloi, March 1915. Killed. He died 10th April 1917 at Vimy Ridge.
