Details: 'Inter alia, it was reported to the meeting that Henrietta Errol, wife of Jas McAllan, Labourer in Doune, of herself proposed to leave this place with her five children provided she received assistance from the Kirk Session. The Session knowing that they are in abject poverty, are glad to hear that she is going to her relatives in Crieff, her native place, and to assist her in removing. It is proposed to the members of the Board of Health now oresent, viz. Messrs. Jas McFarlane, John McRuar & Peter Burns; that she should be furnished with a pair of Blankets and some provisions for herself and Children on the Road. To this proposal the members of the Board of Health agreed, and at the same time she is furnished with a pass in name of the Session that she may not be interrupted on the Road.'

Details: 'The Session next proceeded to consider the Petition of Ann M McFarlane, which was given in to the Session some time ago. The petition was read and also an Act of Sederunt relative to paupers craving to be put upon the Poors' Roll. According to this Act of Sederunt they find that it is necessary to summon the Petitioner to appear before the Session in order that she may be interrogated as to the merits of the Petition, and also that the adverse party must receive intimation when the Kirk Session is to meet for that purpose, ten days before said meeting takes place.
